What is DataFly?

DataFly is a peer-to-peer file transfer app. Files travel directly between devices via encrypted WebRTC connections. Nothing is stored on a server.

Is DataFly free?

DataFly offers a free plan with up to 2 devices, 300 MB max file size, and 2 favorite contacts. Paid plans increase all limits. See our features page for details.

Do I need an account?

You need an account to send and receive files, but downloading the app is free and does not require an account.

What file types and sizes are supported?

DataFly supports any file type. File size limits depend on your plan — up to 10 GB per file on Pro. You can send individual files or entire folders.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Files are transferred directly between devices using encrypted WebRTC data channels. File contents never pass through our servers.

Does it work over the internet?

Yes. DataFly works on your local network (LAN) for maximum speed and over the internet via TURN relay when a direct connection is not possible.

What platforms are supported?

DataFly is available for Windows 10 and later. An iOS app is coming soon.

How do I add contacts?

Open the app, go to Contacts, and add someone by their email address. They must also have a DataFly account.
